Cutting-edge technology should never stand still and neither should our customers. That’s why we’ve introduced a subscription model for the Voliro T that goes far beyond traditional drone ownership. In a series of four videos, our VP of Growth, Laurent Zimmerli, dives into into how our customers are already benefiting from this model and why it’s the key to staying ahead in a fast-evolving industry. Whether it’s non-destructive testing, maintenance, or surface contact work – drone aerial inspection is transforming how industries approach high-risk environments.
With Voliro’s unique platform and subscription model, companies gain access to the latest in robotic inspection technology, allowing them to perform safer, faster, and more precise inspections at height.
Laurent: “The Voliro T is much more than a conventional inspection drone. We usually call it a flying robotic platform, because when we launched it two years ago, it supported the first contact-based inspection use cases for nondestructive testing. But since the launch two years ago, we have already added new use cases, so it’s no longer the same product it was back then. In the future, we also want to support other applications that might involve repair work, maintenance, or manipulation of objects at height. The big advantage of the subscription model for our customers is that they are always at the forefront of innovation. They don’t buy a product that becomes outdated over time, because all upgrades and enhancements are included. That means they always have access to the latest developments—whether it’s on the software, the hardware, or the operational side.”
Laurent: “One of the biggest challenges for our clients—or any users of robotic technology—is making the shift from conventional methods to robotic use cases. With the subscription model, we can provide much more support to help drive that adoption. There’s a lot of education and internal convincing needed, not just from us, but also from our clients within their own companies. The subscription gives them more than just a piece of technology—it includes operational support to help them make that transition toward advanced solutions.”
Laurent: “As part of the subscription, our clients don’t just get the drone and the payloads, but also everything they need to operate it successfully. That includes spare parts, batteries, replacement of broken parts, crash insurance, onboarding, training, and ongoing support. This is a major advantage and one of the things our customers appreciate most: they’re not left alone with a tool, but get everything needed to deploy it successfully in the field.”
Laurent: “The long-term relationship we build with our clients also plays a big role in helping them adopt advanced robotic solutions. Moving from conventional to robotic systems takes time, resources, and effort. Through that close relationship, we’re able to support them throughout the journey—so they can make the shift toward faster, more efficient, and often safer solutions.”
The Voliro subscription model gives forward-thinking companies more than a one-time solution. It helps customers stay agile, adopt new capabilities quickly, and continuously benefit from the latest innovations, powered by a platform that grows with their needs.
Drone aerial inspection is transforming how industries maintain critical infrastructure. With the Voliro T, customers access a system that evolves constantly, enabling safer, smarter, and more efficient operations at height.
For those ready to lead rather than follow, the subscription model offers a clear path forward—one built on innovation, adaptability, and long-term success.
